Esta madrugada se ha celebrado en Los Ángeles y retransmitido por la CBS, la entrega de los People’s Choice Awards, en la que nuestra serie favorita ha sido premiada con el galardón a la Mejor Serie de Comedia, al derrotar a las otras candidatas: How I Met Your Mother, The Office, Desperate Housewives y Two and a Half Men.
Sin embargo, la alegría no pudo ser completa, porque Jim Parsons, que estaba nominado a Mejor Actor de Comedia no pudo hacerse con el premio, que se llevó el talentoso Steve Carrell, por su papel en la ficción The Office. Carrell se impuso a rivales de la talla de Alec Baldwin (30 Rock), Charlie Sheen (Two and a Half Men) o Neil Patrick-Harris (How I Met Your Mother).
Otros de los premiados en la ceremonia, en la que reparten los premios elegidos por los votantes en su página web, han sido Alison Hannigan (Lilly en How I Met Your Mother), Johnny Depp, Keith Urban, Taylor Swift, Sandra Bullock, Hugh Jackman, Lady Gaga, Jim Carrey, Miley Cirus, Paramore, Mariah Carey, Glee, Twilight, House MD y su protagonista Hugh Laurie, Ashton Kutcher, True Blood, American Idol, Supernatural, Katherine Heigl o The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
